A New Sedan Worth Waiting for: the All-Electric Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Ask yourself ... what’s worth the wait? With gas prices soaring, you may be thinking hard about buying or leasing an electric vehicle. However, it might be worth waiting for the Mercedes-Benz all-electric C 400 4MATIC, available at Mercedes-Benz of Farmington in the first half of 2027.

Mercedes-Benz is sharing photos and details of this new electrified “wunderauto.” Mercedes-Benz Group AG Chairman of the Board of Management Ola Källenius said it’s “... the perfect blend of performance, comfort, dynamics, and intelligence ... offering pure driving pleasure and outstanding real-world range – all while being the perfect sanctuary for our customer."

SO Many Highlights!

  • Superior performance from dual electric motors serving up 482 hp with standard all-wheel drive. Estimated zero-60 in 3.9 seconds. Air suspension and rear-wheel steering are optional.
  • Up to 473 miles range, which Mercedes attributes to aerodynamics and technology. The 800V technology and 94-kW battery can charge from 10%-80% in 22 min. with DC fast-charger.
  • One-box braking system recovers kinetic energy, maximizing range.
  • The C-Class electric is timeless with electrifying (pun intended) styling; a sedan with coupe-like styling, optional 1,050-point illuminated grille and GT-designed rear end.
  • MB.OS is an all-encompassing digital ecosystem minding infotainment, performance, charging and driver assistance features. AI-driven supercomputer undergirds the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) and MB.DRIVE driver and parking assistance functions
  • State-of-the-art safety features including standard PRE-SAFE® that works with navigation system to tighten your seatbelt before entering a challenging curve. Cool reverse maneuvering function can retrace your path in reverse.
  • MBUX combines AI from ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing and Google Gemini for an intuitive and personal experience. Activate virtual assistant with “Hey, Mercedes” and conduct conversations and adapt functions to driver desires. Google technology underpins the MBUX Navigation with Electric Intelligence system, predicting road hazards, energy use and more. Audio delivered by optional Burmester 4D Surround Sound.
  • Optional MBUX Hyperscreen is high-res with 1,000+ LEDS. At 39.1 inches it’s the largest ever in a C-Class. Optional MBUX Superscreen integrates three displays and front passenger can use the entertainment features independent of the driver (who must keep eyes front!).
  • Luxury materials and finished interior surfaces abound. Nappa leather upholstery and a choice of natural fiber or wood trims. Optional panoramic sunroof with integrated/illuminated stars. 16.6 cf cargo capacity.

Even if it weren’t an all-electric vehicle, this 2027 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan would be impressive. Electrifying it makes it, well, just more electrifying. Definitely worth the wait.
