We all know that luxury comes at a price. But Mercedes-Benz has more than one way to achieve a luxury car at a relatively affordable price. Kelley Blue Book, the respected automotive consumer review organization, just came out with its latest list of “10 Best Luxury Cars Under $40,000.” Mercedes-Benz scored three entries:
2023 Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class – The kbb.com editors enthused that “even at the baseline, it’s a nimble, quiet, comfortable vehicle that communicates the core of the Mercedes-Benz brand.” It has a 221-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with available all-wheel drive. 2023 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class – The four-door coupe base model has front-wheel drive and a 221-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that kbb.com editors said has a “svelte form [that] feels quick behind the wheel…with a comfortable ride and nimble handling.” Although it has many options, kbb.com editors noted that “the standard audio and safety systems are also very good.” 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class – The kbb.com editors pointed out that the front-wheel drive 221-hp engine “scampers to 60 mph in just 6.8 seconds, a figure that would have been sports car territory not so long ago.” Upgrades include 4MATIC® AWD, a Burmester 12-speaker/590-watt surround sound system, and a great driver assistance package.
Luxury is one of those squishy terms that can mean many things. However, according to Wikipedia, it means one “that provides above-average to high-end levels of comfort, features, and equipment when applied to cars. Often more expensive materials and surface finishes are used, and buyers expect better build quality … often associated with higher social status of the users, compared to low and mid-market segment cars.”
Sounds like Mercedes-Benz to us. But affordable. Visit us at Mercedes-Benz of Farmington and take a look at these three great examples of luxurious value.
